The perfectly grafted head makes no statement about man's search for his rightful place in the universe. In the stark light of the real world the human head is proportionate to the torso. In the heightened spirit of the creative mind, however, shapes pulsate in response to the mood of the artist. The joy and pathos that he feels are revealed in his work.
